Creative Wellbeing: A Re-Imagining

“The arts are the best means we have for sharing complex experience. They show us what we don’t know about ourselves and others. They shine light on the relationships and social settings that help or hinder mental health, and they are a means to renew those relationships.” Dr Jill Bennett, UNSW

Join us for Creative Wellbeing: A Re-Imagining: A free, fun, drama workshop that acts as a conversation starter about wellbeing, mental health access, and the role of the arts and artists.

Minola Theatre, alongside Arts for Inclusion, have been invited to design a new performance piece for The Big Reach, a two day arts, mental health, and wellbeing event taking place in September. Stories shared and discoveries made at the Creative Wellbeing workshops will help direct the development of this new performance piece.

These workshops are open to absolutely anyone interested in sharing their story, and being part of a conversation about mental health and the arts.

This project is proudly supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, Brisbane City Council, Queensland Mental Health Commission, The Big Anxiety, and Momentum Arts.

Minola and Arts for Inclusion are also working with community members from RFQ, Communify, QDN, and more as part of this project.
